On the back of their incredible UK tour, pop punk/hardcore mob A Day To Remember have released the video for upcoming single, ‘I’m Made Of Wax Larry, What Are You Made Of?‘
Aside from being one of the best songs off 2009′s epic ‘Homesick‘ the video features cheerleaders, kick ball, synchronised headbanging and even a child being subjected to a chokeslam, the latter possibly being the definition of ‘Awesome’.
So no excuses, the video is above for you to feast your hungry eyes upon. For those who didn’t catch ADTR along with Architects and Your Demise, we won’t rub it in too much but make sure you don’t miss the band on their next visit.

After the success of Beatles: Rock Band it seems that the people at Harmonix/MTV are set to unleash a new band-centric title in teh hugely successful rhythm game franchise in the form of a full Green Day: Rock Band game scheduled for 2010.
The following statement has been released by MTV:
“This game will feel like a natural extension of Green Day and their music that will deepen the fans’ connection to the band and their history,” said Alex Rigopulos, CEO and co-founder of Harmonix Music Systems. “Fans will be able to enjoy some of the greatest songs from the Green Day catalogue in this standalone game or via Rock Band due to full export capability. We are thrilled to work with Green Day to revisit key moments from their career, including their likenesses, content and imagery, through our innovative form of musical interaction.”
Besides confirming a global release in 2010 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii, the the track list will be fully exportable, allowing you to play the songs or Rock Band 1 or 2. This exportable option is only for PS3 and Xbox 360, not Wii, however. “
With the recent Green Day global takeover, it isn’t a surprise that one of the most successful and mainstream acts of the decade are to follow the Fab Four’s footsteps. Will you be buying the game or do you think that bands like Led Zeppelin should be first in line above the pop punks?

Weezer front-god Rivers Cuomo will enter the studio to work on new material with kooky cutie Katy Perry next week. Cuomo revealed the news in an interview with US site Buzznet, during a word-association game in which Perry’s name came up.
The alt-rock singer told the site “We’re writing together next week. Can’t wait!”
Both artists have a taste for the quirkier end of their chosen genres, Fancore reckons the resulting material could be interesting to say the least.

Fall Out Boy are planning to release a Greatest Hits bundle, which will include the band’s first new material since 2008′s Folie A Deux.
The first of the new tracks, Alpha Dog is taken from the band’s Welcome To The New Administration mixtape which was the precursor to their fifth studio album and surprisingly left-off the final track list. If you didn’t catch the previously released snippet you can catch the full song on the video above.
Sure to fuel the rumours that the band are about to call it quits for good, bassist and sometimes-main man Pete Wentz told MTV News that he doesn’t want fans to think he is cashing in. “To me, calling it a greatest hits [means] if you’re not an avid Fall Out Boy fan, it’s an easy way to get all the songs, to take a dip in the water,” he laughed. “But if you are a Fall Out Boy fan, you can just go buy those two [new] songs off iTunes, or you can buy the package, because you will find some stuff in there that you’ll think is cool.”
The album, entitled Believers Never Die will also include DVD commentaries and a bunch of other goodies for all you FOB die-hards and can be yours from November 17th.

As previously reported HERE, pop-punk megastars Blink 182 posted cryptic photos back in April showing the trio performing in front of a green screen.
Yesterday bassist Mark Hoppus revealed that the band were actually recording a free virtual show with Outkast’s Big Boi that will be available online on 6th July. After the words “free” “blink” and “concert” were used in the same sentence, unsurprisingly the first 500 advance tickets sold out within the first hour, possibly being sped along by Hoppus posting this update on his official Twitter: ‘remember that green screen stuff a little bit ago? blink-182. onstage. free. check it out HERE.”
According to the ticketmaster website, tickets can still become available by buying a packet of the special Doritos on the day of the show. Details are still currently a little hazy, but due to the website stating that a webcam is required it seems that the green screen will be filled with the happy faces of the ‘audience’. Unfortunately we believe this is currently just available to those in the US, more as we get it.
What do you think on this particular piece of marketing genius? We bet the people at Doritos are sitting on a pile of cash rubbing their bellies and chowing down on solid gold doritos, or at least we hope they are…

The most vocal member of Fall Out Boy, bassist mainman Pete Wentz has sent the forums and hearts of fangirls around the world into near breakdown by hinting that the end of FOB may be nigh.
Whilst chatting to fans through his official Twitter, Wentz dropped the bombshell by refusing to comment on when we can expect the new Fall Out Boy album, describing 2008′s Folie A Deux as the band’s “possible Swan Song”.
The Question posed and Wentz’ answer can be viewed below:
“Q: Can we expect a new FOB CD next year?
A: I’m not sure. This may be the swan song. But we might have another in us. We’ll see.”So what do you think? Are you surprised as this revelation? Do you think it’s just a random comment that will lead to nothing, or does this predict the end of the much-loved pop-punk quartet.
UPDATE: In an email to MTV.com Wentz has today (23rd June) assured fans that the future of the band is still solid what sounds awfully like his attempt to backtrack.
When asked if his comments were meant to imply the end of Fall Out Boy he said: “No, we’re not calling it quits, but [we've got] no future album plans right now. We can’t quit, we’re waiting to get fired.”

UK sickly-sweet popstars You Me At Six have attempted to cover Fall Out Boy’s hugely popular single ‘Sugar We’re Goin’ Down’ from 2005′s ‘From Under The Cork Tree’.
You can hear the god-awful b-side on their upcoming single ‘Finders Keepers’, or if you don’t want to waste your hard earned cash you can listen above. To be completely biased, it sounds like a disaster, but coming from someone who thinks the world’s obsession with the ‘band’ is a farce in itself they were never going to win us over. I think it’s his voice to be honest.

As previously reported, Blink 182 have broken their silence and announced that they will be touring across America this summer, with Fall Out Boy, Weezer, Taking Back Sunday, Panic At The Disco, All American Rejects, Asher Roth and Chester French in tow.

But after a five-year hiatus, Blink-182 members Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge will embark on a nearly 50-date North American arena and amphitheater tour, beginning July 24 at the Joint in Las Vegas, and wrapping Oct. 3 at the Borgata Events Center in Atlantic City, N.J
Tickets for the tour go on sale May 30 at livenation.com. Presenting sponsors of trek include T-Mobile Sidekick LX, State Farm Insurance and MySpace.
Beyond October, Blink-182 has offers to play Australia’s Big Day Out and other European music festivals in 2010, according to Devoe. “That’s what I’m hoping is going to happen,” the manager says. “And in between these tours is when they’re going to be working on an album.”
Blink-182 doesn’t plan to route another North American tour until the band releases a new album, Devoe says. He notes that Blink-182 can’t work as quickly as it used to because the band members have family obligations and some live in different cities.

Recently reformed Pop-punk heroes, Blink 182 have finally answered fan’s prayers and announced their plans for a massive July tour across America.
Mark Hoppus announced that the mammouth tour will take them through the States from July 24th all the way until October, taking some famous friends on the road with them aswell. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Hoppus said: We started talking about bands to tour with and Weezer was actually one of the first ones that came up. They wanted to do the tour, and so did Fall Out Boy. It worked out perfectly.”
Unfortunately those hoping to watch the trio performing on the same stage will be out of luck, as Fall Out Boy have signed on for two-thirds of the dates, with Weezer filling the remaining third.
It’s no secret that Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz is friends with the Blink boys, speaking to RS he said: “When we started our band, we were like, ‘Man, that’d be so awesome to meet Blink-182′. It’s been a great stretch of headlining tours the last few years, but there’s something interesting about opening up for bands when you have to rope the audience in.”
Attempting to cater to a credit-crunch plagued audience, Blink have also announced that tickets will be as low as $20 for the arenas. “We want this to be an experience that brings the show out to the audience.” Hoppus commented, also revealing that Kanye West and Daft Punk‘s set designer will be incorporated into creating the live show.

One third of the recently reformed heroes of pop-punk, Blink 182′s Mark Hoppus has spoken to MTV news about the band’s new video shoot. The update comes after the bassist/vocalist posted images that showed the trio performing in front of a green screen.
On his official blog Himynameismark.com, the rock-star turned producer posted this image, under the header “This is how I spent my Thursday”:
Under the photo were the words:
“I can’t say anything about this yet, but keep your eyes open.”
Suffice to say the images literally sent internet forums into overload, with fingers manically typing on keyboards around the world. Due to the mysterious nature of the post, Hoppus dropped MTV an email to clear a few things up:
“It’s definitely not what it seems to be. It’s not really a music video shoot, and it’s not really a movie shoot, it’s something that no other band has done, and the technology behind it is ridiculous. I don’t even know how to explain it.”
Hmm, how mysterious! Any ideas on what you think it could be? Our eyes are now officially open, wide open in fact. There are very few details on what Blink 182 have planned, from various Twitter posts it looks like the band have been rehearsing a number of songs from their back catalogue, aswell as working on new songs from an as of yet unknown new album, vaguely penciled in for Summer 2009.
And now to add to the fanfare is a new something or other that will show Blink 182 performing together, news on what it is and when you can lay your eyes on it will be provided as soon as we know.

Green Day have posted the official video for new single “Know Your Enemy” online for your viewing appraisal. Taking a step back from the over-blown epics that were the American Idiot single videos, this pop-punk/power-pop nugget is simply 3 minutes of Green Day playing on some sort of heavily guarded roof-top.
The single comes from heavily anticipated new album, 21st Century Breakdown which will be released worldwide on 15th May, with the current single being available from Itunes as we speak.
The good people at MTV.co.uk have the world exclusive of the new vid if you want to head on down and have a look for yourselves. We’re thinking that “Know Your Enemy” is one of those things in life that grows on you over-time like a good wine or mould. Whatever our first opinion you can be sure that the chorus will be successfully lodged in our heads for the next few days. We think the Green Day team should consider it a success, seeing as the world is going absolutely GD nuts at the moment. Give it a few days before the video is on every music channel/website/face of a small child all around the world.

Pop-Punk royalty Green Day have announced details for their first official tour in over three years. The trio will hit the United States and Canada on a tour that will keep them busy from July to August. There are a few gaps in the schedule, which suggests the possibilty of more dates to come and hopefully preceeds what we hope will be a vast European tour.
Green Day recently released their newest single, Know Your Enemy to the digital world- the first single off their long-awaited new effort, 21st Century Breakdown. Download Festival have revealed a cavalcade of new bands for their upcoming June shindig. They have also revealed how the stages break up so you can start panicking about who you might have to miss. A Bring Me The Horizon/Limp Bizkit clash would upset Fancore deeply. To see how the stages break up click HERE

“With a truly impressive bill of top rock acts from all over the world already in place for this year’s DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL AT DONINGTON PARK, we’re proud to announce another seventeen acts to join the likes of Faith No More, Slipknot, Def Leppard, Whitesnake and Trivium at this year’s event, taking place 12-14 June.
Returning to Download are US metal-core outfit HATEBREED, pop-punkers A DAY TO REMEMBER, Century Media darlings IN THIS MOMENT, Northern Irish rockers THERAPY?, US metallers GOD FORBID, Swedish rockers BACKYARD BABIES and new Brit metallers HOSTILE.

Punk superstars NOFX have just released their new single “Creeping Out Sara“, the first look at what upcoming album ‘Coaster‘ will sound like.
And honestly? We’re very very very impressed. The song details Fat Mike’s meeting with Canadian singing lesbian sisters Tegan and Sara at a German Festival and how he couldn’t figure out who he was talking to before proceeding to ask if “her and her sister had ever had a threesome”.

In a new blog post, Frank Turner has announced that he will be opening for punk giants The Offspring on their upcoming tour across America this Summer.
In the post he details how the dates will clash with his pre-existing gig commitments, in the forms of the T In The Park and 2000 Trees UK Festivals: “I’ve decided to go with the Offspring shows – it’s simply too good an opportunity to pass up. However, I’m painfully aware of how this is going to piss people off. I was super-excited to be playing T this year, and 2000 Trees is, as many know, a festival very close to my heart. I haven’t missed a year yet, and it’s going to suck not being there. So, to start off with, I’ll openly apologize to anyone planning on seeing me at either festival.”

The Offspring, who are embarking on their first full-length American tour in four years have also announced a range of illustrious bands to support them on their upcoming stint, including Pennywise, Sum 41 Alkaline Trio and Dropkick Murphys.

Fresh off the back of their recent addition to the Download Festival bill, Canada’s own Billy Talent have just announced a intimate warm up show at Camden Underworld.
The band will hit the capital on 9th June, just a few days before they hit Download where they will grace the same stage with legends such as Def Leppard, ZZ Top and Faith No More. Tickets go on sale next Friday (17th April) and can be found RIGHT HERE. Make sure you get them quick if you want to see the band with less than 500 people at their feet.

Everyone’s favourite Long Islanders, Taking Back Sunday have just posted a 30 second clip of upcoming single ‘Sink Into Me’ on their Official Myspace Page.
The single is taken off the band’s fourth studio album, ‘New Again’, which drops on 2nd June and follows 2006′s hugely successful ‘Louder Now’. The new album is the first to feature guitarist Matt Fazzi, taking over from Fred Mascherino (who left the band in 2008 to form the indulgently named ‘The Color Fred’).
Following the sneak preview, the video for ‘Sink Into Me’ was also filmed today in New York, where fans were given the chance to star in the video, via a MySpace Bulletin and open casting call.
The clip makes the almost two month wait for ‘New Again’ seem that little bit longer. Are you as impressed with it as we are?

Buzznet News is confirming that recently reformed punk-pop legends Blink 182 are planning to take Weezer on tour as their main support when they hit the road this Summer.
Despite no confirmation from either band camps yet, Buzznet has revealed that the pairing is definitely going to happen and should be announced shortly; “according to our source it’s now a done deal.”
There’s a good chance that this could work, especially since Weezer are currently in the studio, with their seventh album said to be out later in the year. We’re really really hoping that this turns out to be true and Blink fans will get a support band that are truly worthy of playing the same stage- and not some flash-in-the-pan act that was still in pre-school when ‘The Blue Album’ or ‘Dude Ranch’ came out.
We’ll keep you posted when and if this gets confirmed. Can you think of a better support act for the pop-punk titans?

Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump has treated FOB fangirls/boys everywhere by posting the first trailer of his upcoming film, “Moustachette” online.
The film, also starring fellow bandmate and limelight-stealer Pete Wentz, is Patrick’s first foray into filmmaking and as well as starring the singer, was also written and directed by Stump himself.Although the trailer doesn’t give too much away, it seems that Patrick Stump plays the movie’s protagonist Eugene Arlington- a tuba player in an Oklahoma pop-trio, whilst Pete Wentz plays Travis Pullman who seems to be an ice-cream fanatic of dreams of opening his own chain…interesting.
“Moustachette” is yet have an official release date, but if every Fall Out Boy fan paid a dollar to get in i’m sure it’ll make it to the box office someday.
The film’s official website Moustachette.com, describes the plot as: ”A tale of love, art, and wading through all of life’s bullshit.”

A clutch of bands have been announced for the Download Festival, due to be held at Donington Park from the 12th to the 14th of June. Among them are misunderstood Deathcore crushers Bring Me The Horizon, Post-Hardcore snoozefest Fightstar, Nu-Metal footsoldiers Static-X and Northern Irish Hard Rock titans The Answer.
Download released this statement on their online forums:
“Another fantastic twelve rock acts have been confirmed to play this year’s DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL AT DONINGTON PARK, which takes place 12-14 June.
THE ANSWER, FIGHTSTAR, BRING ME THE HORIZON, STAIND, STONE GODS, STATIC-X, SHINEDOWN, VOLBEAT, FACECAGE, AUGER BANE, SEVENDUST and GO: AUDIO join a tremendous line up which includes headliners Faith No More, Slipknot and Def Leppard at the historic Donington site.
Hot off the back of their 42-date US tour supporting AC/DC, THE ANSWER return to Download for the third time, in support of their brand new album Everyday Demons. Having already supported the likes of The Rolling Stones and Whitesnake in addition to AC/DC, Northern Ireland’s hottest new blues rockers will have no problem playing to the Download crowd.
Brit-rockers FIGHTSTAR come back to Download for the third time. Recently added onto the Radio 1 A-List, the post-hardcore outfit fronted by Charlie Simpson are about to release their third album ‘be human’ through their management imprint label Search and Destroy.
Sheffield noiseniks BRING ME THE HORIZON also return for the third time, and will be looking to replicate their typically boisterous pit action at this year’s Download. Their latest album Suicide Season, released last year, received 5 K’s from Kerrang! Magazine and the band were also part of Kerrang!’s Relentless Energy Drink Tour earlier this year. STONE GODS return for the second time having wowed the crowds at last year’s Download Festival. The band truly broke through last year with album Silver Spoons and Broken Bones and will be looking forward to joining The Answer and Black Stone Cherry at this year’s Download, having toured with both bands.
Multi million selling US rock act STAIND make their Download debut this year, following the release of their sixth studio album last year. Over the last ten years they have sold more than 12 million albums worldwide and earned their place as one of the most successful rock bands of the new millennium.
Des Moines metal exports FACECAGE will visit Donington for the first time at this year’s Download Festival, to promote their as yet unnamed fourth studio album, which like their third, will be produced by Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, who co-founded the Great Big Mouth label with them. Fans will have to turn up on the day to see if Corey joins them on stage for a number or two!
Techno pop-rockers tween wet-dream GO:AUDIO return for the second time having played on the third stage at Download last year. Building their fanbase through MySpace and touring with acts such as Kids in Glass Houses and Hellogoodbye, they are due to release their first album later this year.
Florida rockers SHINEDOWN make their Download debut this year. They have sold 6 million records worldwide to date and are currently signed to Atlantic Records. Their third album The Sound Of Madness was released in June 2008 and they went on to support Disturbed later that year.
LA industrial metal quartet STATIC-X will be looking forward to playing their first Download Festival, particularly after their scheduled appearance at Download 2004 was cancelled due to transport problems! Their sixth studio album Cult of Static was recently released in the UK, which features Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine and was produced by John Travis (Kid Rock, Buckcherry).
South East Londoners AUGER BANE are set to perform their first Download Festival, with big rock songs taken from their two EP’s ‘Scream Sessions’ and ‘House Of The Scorpion’ and album Wings Of Fallen Rock. A new album is in the making.
Danish rockers VOLBEAT also make their Download debut following a successful show at London’s Islington Academy last month. Their fusion of metal and rockabilly has given them three albums to date, and various music awards in Denmark.
Joining the nu-metal fraternity at this year’s Download is SEVENDUST, straight from Atlanta. Seven albums on, the band is due to start work on their eighth album due out next year. Having enjoyed commercial success in America, they have worked with the likes of Deftones and toured with acts such as Korn, Staind and Machine Head.”

A sneak preview of one of the most anticipated come-backs of the year is online for your viewing pleasure. Green Day have previewed a few seconds of upcoming single “Know Your Enemy” from their May-released new album, 21st Century Breakdown, on their Official Website GreenDay.com.
Despite only teasing us with a hint of the song, overall we’re thinking it’s a good sign of things to come. The clip is a little more Foxboro Hottubs-sounding (the trio’s 2008 garage-rock side project) than classic Green Day and certainly doesn’t pack a punch like the first glimpses of American Idiot did- but who are we to judge a preview anyway? We’re just glad the boys are making music that doesn’t sound like Kids In Glass Houses and can’t wait to hear more. Expect the full single May 15th.
